We are situated between La Malagueta and la Caleta, typical nineteenth centre neighbourhoods and one of the most privileged areas of the city.
Just one street back from the most popular beach La Malagueta, and a short stroll to the old town – via the Paseo del Parque, Mediterranean and sub-tropical gardens with a Renaissance and Baroque Style.
We have been pampering to our guests needs since the inauguration as a luxury hotel in the 50s, right up until today when we have two star boutique hotel with a vintage air and all the comforts you may need.

The family touch is to be seen everywhere in this lovely boutique hotel only a 15 min walk from the city centre. The 4th floor sun terrace is a great place to relax looking out to sea and the beach is only 5 minutes away. The wonderful breakfast spread served to the table is a joy. Really really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back !!!

5th floor ?

This is a very relaxing hotel but the 5th floor is not for the older generation . Recommend asking for passport details when booking and that will allow the hotel NOT to allocate rooms on the 5th Floor to older people.

Hotel historico muy especial, bien ubicado y trato maravilloso

Descubri el Hotel California hace un par de años viajando con una amiga y me encanto. He vuelto varias veces por motivos de negocio y de placer. El trato es magnifico, la ubicacion casi a pie de playa y muy cerca del centro historico, la decoracion muy especial ya que han respetado los aspectos historicos del lugar, el desayuno my completo y sabroso y la terraza roof top con vistas al mar maravillosa. Tambien me encanta que tenga la opcion de habitaciones para 1 persona para viajeros que viajan solos. Volvere pronto!

Wonderful stay in Malaga

We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel and was very satisfied with the overall experience. We had a great room with a terrace and a sea view, cozy bed. The staff was very helpful, hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was nice, but as it is served by table there are just a few options to choose from.

Fantastic stay at this hotel

Ideally located hotel, within walking distance of places to visit. Friendly and pleasant welcome, modern room and perfectly equipped bathroom, sea view. Rooftop with a very nice terrace overlooking the sea. Breakfast with fresh, varied and delicious products served at the table. On our last morning, we asked for a picnic breakfast and received a bag full of delicious items. We felt that this breakfast had been prepared with real care. We really appreciated it and would like to thank the entire hotel team for our fantastic stay.
